Cory Hall Wins Season Opener Kenny U-Pull 150 at Scotia Speedworld

(Halifax, NS – June 1, 2025) Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB) has been tearing it up South of the border over the winter and did not disappoint at Scotia Speedworld today winning the season opener Kenny U-Pull 150 in style. Ashton Tucker (Miramichi, NB) ran in the top half of the field most of the day and did his usual late race stomp to the front to finish second. Austin MacDonald (Pictou, NS) had a great afternoon and battled Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) in the closing laps to pick up the final spot on the podium. Butcher would have to settle for fourth place. Jordan Veinotte (Porter’s Lake, NS) kicked off his season with a great run coming home fifth.

Gage Gilby (Enfield, NS) and Hall won their respective Atlantic Tiltload heat races, putting them on the front row for the Kenny U- Pull 150. Additional contingency cash and prizes were also awarded too:

Shout out to Alex Johnson (Enfield, NS) who made his FGI Pro Stock Tour debut at Scotia Speedworld this afternoon. Welcome to the Pro Stock Tour Alex.

The Traction Mini Stocks, who race every Friday as part of the Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series, kicked off the racing card and put on a great show for fans. Kody Quinn (Glace Bay, NS) doubled down and won both 20 lap features.

The Maritime Allstar Series Sportsman also entertained fans prior to the main event. Matt Vaughan (Fall River, NS) won the 100-lap event with Joey Livingstone (Pictou Landing, NS) in second and Dylan Dowe (Bedford, NS) third.

The Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour returns to Petty International Raceway next Saturday, June 7th at 4:00pm for the Mr. Lube + Tires 150. Tickets will be available at the gate on race day.
