Route 66: DAY 3

On the road again.

Tuesday night I heard a storm was headed to the mountains and not wanting to get stuck up there I wrapped up the work I could, packed up, left a few notes and got on the road.

Driving away from Colorado having only seen half of the people I wanted to, I was reminded just how connected our world is. Town after town, big, small, you can see the red lights flashing from the far off airport. Some of times they stand as a reminder of past periods of more affluence.

Again, I’m finding Missouri to have a challenging system for marking the original Route 66, but it is there behind golf course billboards, new industrial parks and suburbs here in the Midwest. It is still alive and well if you wanna find it.
