PEI auto show a big hit for 2010!

Held in July, the PEI International Motoring Festival wrapped up its second edition with success.

The year of the Mustang gathered a great "Pony Corral" of over 65 Mustangs, from 1965 to 2011

Teamed up with the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, this one-of-a-kind car show gave the opportunity to all participants to see great concerts with some of the biggest names in the show business like Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. Likewise, it gave the opportunity to all concert spectators a chance to see some of the best cars in the world.  Being a “Motoring Show,” the IMF presented much more than antique cars!  Hundreds of vehicles were displayed including 2010 Lamborghinis, antique tractors and motorcycles - even a 1914 Harley Davidson.

These two Lamborghinis are worth a total of $700,00. The yellow one won best of show award.

Participants came mainly from Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Ontario and as far as Boston. The People’s choice award went to Bill MacDonald, from Charlottetown, and his rare 1901 Oldsmobile Curved Dash Runabout.  The Best of Show trophy was awarded to Bernard Durand from John Scotti Automotive in Montreal and his 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago. Branded as the biggest Car Show on PEI, all participants, spectators and staff are looking forward to next year’s edition!

Much, much more in the print addition of Auto Atlantic.
