2nd Annual Max McKeen Martin NS Fundraising Golf Tournament
By Sue Regan
The start time for the event will be registration at 10 with a shotgun for 11:30 It’s your opportunity to help the IWK with research and treatments, raise awareness about immune deficiency diseases and promote a wider spectrum of testing at birth of possibly fatal, immune conditions.
Your Challenge: Donate prizes, auction items or funds and/or participate at an unforgettable event that is promising to be an even bigger celebration of Max McKeen Martin’s life than last year! This year’s event will include the Tournament, a live band, great food, auctions, prizes, red nose service and FUN!
In last November’s issue of Auto Atlantic we covered the results of the first annual golf tournament, the proceeds of which went to the IWK Children’s Hospital Immunology Department. Their goal of $10,000 was surprisingly surpassed by $12,000 for a total of $22,000! This was largely due to automotive industry participation!!! Let’s go bigger and better! Max and Jude’s Grampy Barry Joncas, is a wonderful character who has worked in the automotive industry for over 25 years!
Media coverage also included a piece in the Chronicle Herald in January about Max, his brother Jude, who suffers with Chronic Granulomatous Disease, the same condition that took his big brother Max two months before Jude was born, and the brave young parents, Crystal and Adam Martin, who are making the most of a heart wrenching life circumstance!
For more information about the event, making donations and event registration, email Adam Martin at: email@example.com or call Grampy, Barry Joncas, service manager at Chad Kennedy’s Certigard 902-469-5274. See the event on facebook by searching Max McKeen Martin.
Much, much more in the print addition of Auto Atlantic.
