Michelin launches its first ever Green Guide for Atlantic Canada

Michelin is thrilled to announce the launch of the Green Guide for Atlantic Canada as part of a new series of regional travel handbooks for Canada

Renowned across the globe for their Michelin Guides featuring star-rated restaurants and a selection of hotels, Michelin utilizes the same trusted star-rating system to recommend destinations in their Green Guides, such as the Green Guide for Atlantic Canada.

“We are very proud to have created a guide that enables all types of travelers, from the outdoor adventurer to the cultural enthusiast, to find hidden gems and attractions during their travels,” says Cynthia Ochterbeck, General Manager, Michelin Apa Publications. “Our goal was to create a simple, effective, and interesting guide for you to use, whether you are looking for a hidden gem in your own backyard or trekking across Canada to see a historic monument.”

The Michelin Green Guide for Atlantic Canada features the best of the East, from advice about how to best navigate a top international tourist destination like the Halifax Citadel, to recommendations for satisfying adventurers off the beaten track at Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland and Labrador. Regardless of your budget or time, the Michelin Green Guide is the one travel companion you can’t leave home without. Michelin Green Guides are also available for Alberta and the Rockies, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada.

At the turn of the 19th century, Michelin created the first Michelin Guide to encourage motorists to travel in the recently introduced automobile. Today, Michelin publishes hundreds of travel guides and maps, including the renowned Green Guides which have been around since 1926. Headquartered in Laval, Quebec, Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. (www.michelin.ca) employs approximately 3,700 and operates three plants.
