A wide cross-section of people, including students, jobber representatives, technicians, service center owners and other industry professionals, both in attendance and providing representation from across various sectors, obtained new insights and solutions with events that included The Heavy Duty Equipment Repair Lab/Shop of the NSCC Transportation Center.

The Lab/Shop was home for 40 industry providers representing hard part-equipment-collision repair suppliers who were presenting premium product offerings. In addition, garage management software providers were available to answer questions regarding the latest in electronic shop management.

Getting ready for the BIG show IN DARTMOUTH, NS!

CARQUEST product specialists provided information regarding features and benefits of their under hood – undercar components. Most importantly, the NSCC faculty members were available to answer questions regarding training within the transportation department. Shannon Smith and Nikki Barnett from the Automotive Sector Council were also present to respond to inquiries concerning industry training.

On behalf of CARQUEST Canada Atlantic Division, sincere appreciation is extended to NSCC Academic Chair, Roy McNeil and the transportation department faculty from Akerley Campus for their participation and support hosting this event. We would also like to convey our appreciation to the manufacture representatives for their participation as well. Special thanks to Matt Marshal for the photos in this story.
