A sold out event, the tournament raised close to $10,000 for Epilepsy Ontario in honour of Josie Ferlito, a member of the Fix Auto team that the network had lost in December 2007. Amongst the many prizes that were generously donated by Fix Auto franchisees in order to raise money for Epilepsy Ontario, the tournament featured an $18,000 grand prize golf membership, donated by Fix Auto for the prominent golf course – The Club at Bond Head.

The prize was won by Marcelo Zunino, manager and owner of Fix Auto Brampton Central.
The honourary Fix Auto Masters Blue Jackets went to Dave Hackett from Fix Auto Belleville and his foursome for coming in with a score of -12 and once again taking the best foursome title for the second year in a row.

The tournament also featured a traditional Scottish bagpiper sending off the players to a great day of golf, live jazz music entertainment during the cocktail hour and a hole in one prize featuring a luxury 2009 Cadillac.

“The tournament was a great success for the second year in a row.” said Steve Leal, President of Fix Auto Ontario, Alberta and Atlantic Canada. “Once again we were a sold out event and were successful in raising money in memory of Josie Ferlito.”

Leal also thanked all suppliers and franchisees that have supported the tournament with their sponsorship and donations. “With your generous support, we were able to have another successful tournament and keep Josie’s memory alive,” said Leal.

Attending the tournament were Fix Auto franchise owners from across Canada, suppliers to Fix Auto and representatives from various insurance partners. For more information, please visit the FIX website here.
